How to alert MMS of student absence:
The email address for parents to alert MMS about student absences is:
MMSAttendance@MGSD.k12.nc.us
Parents can upload doctor's notes as well. This process helps to avoid lost excuse notes!
|
|
Note: Students may have up to a maximum of 3 days per school year excused to take advantage of valid educational opportunities. Prior approval from either the Principal is required. Absences that are classified as a valid educational opportunity will be coded as “excused” whereas others will be coded as “unexcused.”
To make a request for prior approval, submit the above form to the Principal two weeks before the absence(s). The student is responsible for completing all missed work in addition to submitting a Student Educational Assignment as approved by the Principal in order to have the
absence coded as “excused.” All projects are due within 5 days of the student’s return to school.

Food for Days: Backpack Meals Ministry has the opportunity to host a Free Food Distribution Sponsored by Niagara Water Bottling Co. and Feed the Children (a national organization) on November 11th, from 4:00-6:30 at 691 Brookwood Dr., Mooresville.
This Thursday the attached flyer will be in the weekend meal bags distributed from our Mooresville Packing Site. At this time of year it can be stressful with extra expenses and rising costs. We are so thankful we can provide a little extra help.
Participants need to sign up with the QR code and will pull through and open their trunk to receive a 25lb. box of food, 15lb. box hygiene/household items & a case of Niagara water. If a family does not have transportation than can have someone else pick up for them but they must sign up individually. One box per family. Names will be checked at entrance. 400 spots available.
