MMS is All Heart! This is Mr. Kosal, proud MMS principal. This will be the final MMS newsletter for the school year... can you believe it?! The 2024-25 year has flown by for us here at school because we've been so busy and active. As the principal, I couldn't be more proud of the amazing accomplishments of our Red Imp students & staff this year! MMS continues to grow, evolve, and improve and it's wonderful to have a first-row view of the excellence! 

Remember that all parents are invited to come watch the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade End of Year Awards Ceremonies; see below for the times and dates. C'mon into MMS to celebrate your awesome Red Imps and congratulate them on a year well done!

The MGSD Transportation department sent out a transportation request email this morning to all currently enrolled/pre-registered students for the 2025–2026 school year. Key Details:

• All transportation requests (current MGSD students) need to be submitted by Friday, May 23, 2025 to guarantee service on the first day of school in August.

• A response is required for every student, regardless of whether they will ride a bus or not.

• Once a family submits the form accurately, they will no longer receive follow-up reminders from transportation regarding next year’s request.

• Families were contacted via phone, text, and email. The link was only shared via email. If they didn’t receive the message on any platform, their contact information likely needs updating.

We’ll send a follow-up notice next week with a list of students we haven’t heard from, and again the following week. Thank you for your support in helping us gather accurate transportation data for the upcoming school year.

The 2024-2025 school year is coming to an end, and a great way to celebrate it is with a yearbook for your student. We only have a few copies remaining for purchase.

Mooresville Graded School District, in partnership with the NC Department of Public Instruction and No Kid Hungry North Carolina, will help connect more area kids and teens to free summer meals programs by raising awareness about the program and making it easier for families to get to a summer meal at 1 site within the school district.

Program details: (MEALS MUST BE CONSUMED ON PREMISES)

Location: Park View Elementary School Cafeteria

Dates of Service: June 2nd- July 10th (closed June 19th and the July 3rd in observance of a holiday)

• Breakfast 8:00 am - 8:30 am
• Lunch 11:30 am - 12 pm
• Monday through Thursday

Meals are FREE to children and teens ages 18 and younger who come to a summer meals site. Food served follows USDA nutrition guidelines and is paid for by the USDA. Parents don’t need to apply to the program to get a free summer meal for their kids. They can just bring their child to a summer meals site in their community.
