Mooresville School Business Official Awarded Highest Honor in Profession

Ashburn, VA – June 28, 2019 – The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) has selected Terry K. Haas, CPA, RSBO, chief financial officer for Mooresville (NC) Graded School District, as the recipient of the association’s 2019 International Eagle Award.

The International Eagle Award is the highest honor in school business and recognizes a K–12 business professional for their exemplary leadership and contributions to their district and the school business profession.

Throughout her 30-year career in school business, Haas has built a reputation as a steadfast leader who carries out her school business responsibilities with a personal touch. Whether it’s ensuring fiscal integrity within the school district, training and mentoring current and future school business officials, overseeing her district’s afterschool and school nutrition programs, or helping organizations be good financial stewards, Haas has dedicated her career to serving others.   

As the recipient of the International Eagle Award, she will receive a $5,000 college scholarship to present to a high school student from her district and will be formally recognized at ASBO International’s 2019 Annual Conference & Expo, October 25–28, in National Harbor, MD.
